Eagle Scout Court of Honor May 21

Akash Thaker got his Eagle Scout award Saturday May 21. He's in the center of the picture along with his fellow new Eagle Scouts and NASA Astronaut Suni Williams who was the guest speaker. At 195 days she holds the record for longest time by a woman in space. She will be going to the Space Station again in 2012 on a Russian Soyuz craft. Akash's Eagle project was to identify and place a map and markers locating native and invasive plants, flowers and trees for public education on the Bull Creek Greenbelt trail adjacent to the parking area and rest rooms at the SE corner of 360 and Spicewood Springs Road. He and his Troop 454 did a superb job. Congratulations Akash!
